New year, new laws! Effective January 1, 2019 a new law took effect in New Hampshire allowing law enforcement’s to fine violators $50 or more for driving too slow in the fast lane.
Some residents responded on the NH Troopers twitter page @NH_Troopers expressing their uncertainty this law will be enforced or followed, but the troopers are confident this will have a positive effect. On January 4th the page tweeted in response to the benefit this new will have, “Blocking the left lane on highways disrupts the normal flow of traffic and increases the chance of crashes — but keeping it open for passing causes fewer crashes than speeding because traffic flows more smoothly and there’s less tailgating and less weaving in and out of traffic. Another benefit of not being a left lane hog includes reduced road rage.”
This is all the information we have for now, but make sure to check in for updates!
